I don't have twitter or anything but I will check out the odd feed once in a while to see what the hype is all about. I checked out Theo, a player who I loved growing up, attended his hockey school and was childhood friends with his son for a little while. Amazing player and passionate Canadian. Most of us are aware of what he and other's have gone through and he has done a great job in his second career as a speaker.

Looking at his feed, I can safely say I don't really agree with a lot of what he has to say about a lot of things and on other topics, I may. I just think it's tough to hold athletes to different standards today on the social media world. They are in essence's victim's of the typical downside of social media, only being fed the stories and feeds that the powers at be allow. He's probably reading and watching a lot of garbage and than posting it as well and informing an opinion. We all need to be careful.

I have literally had conversations with people on the completely different side of the scale when it came to vaccine's, safety, Covid etc. I just recall in June when Trump was saying we can probably have a vaccine before the end of the year and he was getting roasted by pretty much everyone. Trump says crazy things but was anybody in the media doing their job and inquiring?? Or were they just going by other experts who predicated a 12-18 month timeline from Feb/March 2020?

I recall reading an article in a Greek newspaper about a few of the influential Greek's and the fight against Covid. The CEO of Pfizer and founder of Regeneron and others etc. In the article the Pfizer CEO said that we can probably wrap up clinical trials of their vaccine by October with distribution after if all things go well. They ended up being middle of November but the point I am making is that in some instances, we are all just spewing our garbage, right or wrong.

I have had countless debates with people on the safety of these vaccines with a bunch of people convinced this is poison and deadly and others believing this is the safest medical invention in history.

I will probably take a vaccine when it is available to me in my age group before the end of 2021 but let's all just relax a bit and be rationale. Many many people who claim they are "pro science" without even thinking logically or doing the most basic of homework. Even a lot of the experts we see on tv, print and other media use the words approved, very safe, ready to go etc.

People may be interested to know that the existing vaccine's in Canada and the USA are NOT Health Canada and FDA Approved. They have only been authorized for emergency use based upon very early evidence that shows a strong benefit of preventing Covid. Once more time has passed, more trials have been completed and more people have been vaccinated we will have more data for a probable approval down the road.

I know a lot of the stuff Theo is posting probably makes people very upset but let's try and have an understanding about other people as well and try and address their concerns too.
