Really, last season was his only real bad season when it comes to production. He has played more NHL games and has the 2nd most points out of any player drafted in 2012 (only Forsberg has more).

If he was all that he would be getting better offers than 1 year 1M. Lazar got 2 years 800k. Bottom line Galchenyuk is being given a chance by a fifth team because what he did early in his career. It is a prove it contract, if he doesn't, he will be lucky to get another contract.
