Could fans handle a Luke that has fallen to the dark side?

As long as it was done better then the Dark Empire comics where Luke felt to the darkside, sorta, kinda not really, but he wore a pop up collar which made him easy.


I had this preconceived idea for the trilogy before it came out that I liked

That Luke Skywalkers main mission after the death of the Empire was finding all of the Sith history and darkside stuff so that the Sith could never rise again.



At the same time the Empire was still extremely powerful and continued to win major victories.



Leia and Han have a son or daughter, Luke is obsessed with getting rid of the dark side forever. He comes across a lot of the works of Palpatine, his holocrons etc.



The Empire strikes and kills a major character. Luke goes into a rage and vanishes. War returns full force to he galaxy. The New Republic falls.



Years pass.



The Empire continues to re conquer the galaxy. Han and Leia's son or daughter who is strong in the force, decides that he/she needs to find her uncle to get trained. She begins to follow clues. At the end of the second movie, she's captured by the Empire and bought forth before the new Sith Emperor that nobody has seen, but is the driving force behind the Empire's victory.



Luke Skywalker corrupted by Palpatines teachings and his thirst for revenge wants to end war and bring peace and order to the galaxy through conquest, and he is the Sith Emperor.



The third movie can be about the saving of Luke and the end of the Sith forever.
