I learned that there are a lot of fans that want a good value free agent signing no matter what the circumstances are surrounding the team need, the market, or the player in question.

I also learned that I, as a 34 year old right handed person who is over 6 foot and 220 lbs. who has never played hockey in my life, have a good chance of being signed as a right handed defenseman for the league minimum because the demand is that high. I will gladly split my $575 K salary next year with anyone who can get me into game shape in time.
