Absolute nonsense. Wuhan has exited, New Zealand has exited, Thailand has exited... and that's without a vaccine. SARS, while maybe not eradicated, has been fully contained. All we need is for the vaccine to bring R<1 and we reduce the cases with the same power of exponentiation that's driven growth with R>1. We don't need 100% protection at an individual level for that.
There might still be pockets of idiots of who get infected as there are with measles but covid will not be a threat to the general population in Canada once the vaccine rollout is complete.
