This ends better for everyone if Mr. Wiesblatt does one of three things.
1. He's told by the police officers that they are enforcing a public health order and he must remove himself from the ice and leave. Mr. Wiesblatt leaves. This situation is over.
2. He makes the decision not to leave so the officers decide to ticket him. Mr. Wiesblatt gives the officers his name (not like they'd probably believe him if he told them his real name, anyway). He leaves, the situation is over.
3. The officers explain that because he a) refuses to leave and b) refuses to provide his name, they are arresting him. Mr. Wiesblatt, although he may disagree, steps off the ice and gets arrested, probably gets a stern talking to and a ticket, and goes home. The situation is over.
Instead, for whatever reason, we're watching this video of this guy making an absolute fool of himself, a couple of obviously frustrated police officers swearing because they have to deal with this idiot, and he's posting stuff on Facebook that this "fight isn't over". What the hell, man. If I'm this family with a public profile in this small city, I'm putting out a statement at the same time saying "What our son did in resisting arrest was wrong and we fully support the Calgary Police Service and their authority to enforce Public Health Measures to curb the spread of Covid-19." Full Stop.
Instead this is starting to turn into a public embarrassment.
