So Ben Solo is born 5 years after the battle of Yavin.

Return of the Jedi is 4 years after the battle of Yavin.

Mandalorian takes place 5 years after The Return of the Jedi, so Ben Solo is 4 years old right now in the Mandalorian timeline.

Ben Solo becomes Kylo Ren (destroys Luke's school) when he is 23. So there are 19 years between when Grogu goes with Luke, to when Ben becomes Kylo.

It's entirely reasonable to think that Grogu was not at Luke's school given those 19 years.

I'm just going to cling to the hope that this is some giant move to totally negate the sequel trilogy
