But that doesn't really happen, and if it does the cheap/good company is usually out of business within a couple years. From knowing people in the business - Good pizza costs money. There's certain foods you can get away with making it well and charging a lot (greek food) , but pizza doesn't really work that way. Quality ingredients tend to make or break.
They're generally not charging a premium because they can get away with it, they're charging what it actually costs to make really great pizza and stay afloat.
