By my count off CapFriendly, Vegas took in 17 picks before they played a game, and of those 17, 3 were firsts and 6 were seconds. That's an astonishing amount when you think about it. In the same time frame, they only spent 5, one of which was a first, and one a second.


Since then, they've taken in 13 more picks, although there were no firsts, and only three of those were seconds.


On the flip side, they've shipped out 17, including a first and 6 seconds. They've acquired three prospects in Nic Roy, Dylan Sikura, and Carl Dahlstrom - none of them elite prospects.


They shipped out a mediocre prospect in Demin, and two very good ones in Suzuki and Brannstrom.


And while they add Pietrangelo, it cost them Schmidt and Stastny and could still cost more. IIRC, cap-necessary trades also cost them Eakin, Haula, and Miller - none of them world-beaters, but losses that hammer at your depth.
