What they really seem to be arguing is that changes to election rules in some states allowed a higher voter turnout that benefited the Democrats more than Republicans.
They can't seem to explain why enfranchisement is bad, except that their group didn't see the same benefits as the other group.
That seems to be what the lawsuits are about. While they are crying fraud publicly, the lawsuits themselves are not claiming fraud. They are just claiming that enfranchisement, which is intrinsically neutral, created results that weren't neutral.
I had a conversation with my 5 year old about this just this week about the difference between "fair" and "equal". I think it was easier to explain to a 5 year old than it is to Trump supporters. The application of the election rule changes was fair, to both sides, but that doesn't mean the results are, or should be equal.
The way the Republicans see it, the election rules as they were, gave everyone equal barriers. It didn't matter if some of those barriers were more inhibitive to some people than they were to others. It was equal, but not necessarily fair. Pretty much sums up Republicans in a nutshell. Find that playing field that benefits themselves by inhibiting their opponents, rather than winning on their own merits.
