I'd be willing to bet that there are people on these forums (not myself) who know a lot more about music than Nickelback, regardless of the fact that they successfully make pop music. I'm not suggesting that
means anything - just saying your comment isn't necessarily true.
Regardless, are you seriously saying that people can't criticize them because they've been financially successful? I don't think you're going to have a lot of luck arguing that angle.
And, Eddie, I'm guessing that being cynical is just more fun.
