This seems extreme, given some of the teams been given leeway (Ravens, Steelers) having games pushed back with a case or two (including a coach in both cases) shutting it all down. The guys that got it on those teams obviously got it somehow too, possibly not following protocols as well.
If I were the Broncos (and the NFLPA), I’d consider a forfeit and not step on the field, in small part to make a statement, but mainly to maintain the health of your players rather then playing what is a meaningless game. It’s like if the Flames lost all 3 goalies, as well as the designated emergency backups just before ethe game, while playing in a non hockey town like Nashville, and had to use some junior b goalie Flames fan who was on a boys trip, for the entire game.

The other 3 QBs didn’t test positive, but are forced to quarantine because they didn’t have masks on in close proximity. Had they worn their masks they could have played.
