I wonder what they have planned when it comes to the south side? The only thing I can think of is removing the brewery, but I don't think that land is large enough for a stadium. I'm sure it's in it's infancy anyway, but there's so much that will likely be changed leading up to it, such as breaking down the Gardiner, or other things, that it's going to be a real political point going forward. I could easily see this thing going on a 10 year battle similar to how the subway system has been politicised. I personally love the location and would love it in the area but I can't see it happen. I'd also love to see it near the water. Nothing like the breeze on a summer day. Great that they'll make it smaller as well. I hope they try something revolutionary. Regardless of what's chosen, I'm sure there will be an element of the roof that they'll design into the new stadium to make it Skydome 2.0, which would be neat.
