I watched a couple of band themed films last weekend.

The Commitments is an Irish film from 1991, voted at one point the best Irish film of all time (in a popularity contest). It was pretty entertaining, some really solid musical performances. Was a bit of a hit at the time. Working/lower class people put up a soul band in Dublin, have some success and fight a lot.

The other one is probably pretty obscure, but if you're a metal head to any extent, do yourself a favour and seek out Heavy Trip (orig. Hevi Reissu), a Finnish film from 2018. It's quickly becoming a cult film in certain circles, for a good reason. It's a pretty dumb film, and parts of it are really forgettable, but the good parts are just effing hilarious.
