Brian Sutter like Daryl was very demanding too. The year after they tried Gilbert and Hay truly a dark year in Flames history.

25 year old Bure
22 year old Iginla
22 year old Savard
25 year old Stillman
24 year old St.Louis
In their prime that would be a heckuva top 6, especially Savard, Iggy and St.Louis.

19 year old Regher
21 year old Morris
with couple of good vets in Housley and Albelin

22 year old Giguere

Could've turned differently I guess.
Also--Bure's description of the OT magic was bang-on. I attended several games that season, on the back of a U of C 20$ student ticket deal.

I have a vivid memory of an OT game that the Flames won against Nashville, where they came back from a multi-goal deficit in the third. After the winning goal went in, Predator Cale Hulse (for reals) angrily smashed his stick over the crossbar of his net.

(...Only problem there was that it was an aluminum shaft and it didn't break...)
