I still think the first gen BRZ/86 is very underrated, at least from a non-track point of view.
You can drive the car at 90-100% and not get in any trouble. It corners better than any car I've driven at any price range, and it's very tail happy but predictably so (maybe less so now in the next gen with better tires).
It sounds like they've fixed the torque dip in this version, so that alone should make it even more fun in everyday driving. More power would be nice, but I think there's more happiness to be had here for your dollar than anywhere else.
And I don't think Toyota at least wants this to have a turbo from the factory. They don't want it to eat away at Supra sales.
