There must be others, but pretty hard to come up with someone other than Rudy who has gone from one of the most respected to least respected public figures in the US.
Years ago Alan Dershowtiz spoke in Calgary and I recall my dad was a huge fan calling him one of the brightest legal minds in the US. I think his downfall started with the OJ trial.
