There is nothing wrong with people asking, so yes it is a story. It just happened to be a story where the original reporting on it didn't properly cover the whole story and instead resorted to headline tactics in order to generate clickbait.

I don't get why people have such an issue if someone asks about these things. We ask, someone answers, we learn and move on.
