hmmm either you guys are tone defs or mentally challenged. Nickelbacks songs do not all sound the same. Sure they sound similar, that's because their sung and played by the same people, no one magically changes there voice from album to album. And why break away from a formula that works. I know I sure wouldn't mind to be rollin around in the money their making and touring the world. Yes, you do have a point when you say their lyrics are relatively weak, but people in general don't want to listen to a song and try to analyse each line word by word. I think alot of the hate around nickelback comes from the fact that they've made it so big. People refuse to listen to them and try and be part of the in crowd that doesn't listen to the same music as everyone else.
