I haven't ever felt more in my life the importance of remembering the losses that result from state conflicts than I have during the last couple of years. With global powers shifting, nationalism shaping global tensions and risks of major conflicts rising, we should all remember the loss that is experienced when conflicts aren't resolved peacefully. We should remember the past to motivate us in our commitment to peace and avoiding experience of future loss.
