Just thought I'd address this as every Trump supporter I've come across doesn't seem to understand this.

No, the media doesn't decide who wins the election and only idiots claim this to be true. The media simply broadcasts results in real time as votes are counted. The counts are done by individual states and reported to the media. Political experts within media outlets will then make calls based on what they think the probable outcome is. Certain states, like California can be called before all the votes are counted because the D candidate usually wins with 2:1 or 3:1 margins. Likewise for Texas. I believe votes are still being counted in Texas, but it was called R by the media since it would be impossible for Biden to make up the difference with the remaining votes.

In battleground states, they wait to make the call until the number of remaining votes to be counted couldn't possibly make up the difference. Each battleground that was called for Biden was done so because the remaining votes can't make up the difference.

In the grand scheme of things, media calls mean nothing. It just informs the general public of results. The electoral college decides the election, based on votes tabulated by state level governments.

Google it.
