The rumors are that nobody wants to buy the assets while Trump is President because of the terrible optics. Once he is out of office and nobody cares about him (and I very much think he'll fade away) that will be less of an issue.
I think the most likely scenario is he spends his time golfing, a bitter and defeated old man stripped of the limelight and power. Rich, but deeply unhappy.

he wont be rich, he isnt rich now, his brand is all he has and that is now tarnished, he is no longer going to be associated with 1980's tacky excessive wealth, now all people will think is that raving right wing twitter dude and that isnt going to sell Hotel or Golf club memberships.
I am now getting 25 plus begging emails from his campaign a day, up from 15 or so prior to the election, he/they are broke and desperate for money
