Biden will not fix the country. But as this stage, even the illusion of a cultural shift may help create an environment where citizens can focus on issues rather than rants. Policy will not be sew the seeds to heal a nation; that work starts with each and every member of the country.

This is wishful thinking. Donald Trump's departure will create a vacuum that the Law of Clickbait will require to be filled.
Mitch will become whatever the new version of Orange Man Bad is. The same people that needed their fainting couches over Trump will just find another person/issue to be apoplectic about. Then it will be: "can you believe half the country is supporting XXXXX, what a bunch of racists."
There are too many people - politicians, corporations, news media, celebrities, etc, that gain too much from hysteria for it to be just allowed to evaporate as a fuel.
