Default US based Whole Foods bans poppy wearing for employees

We break you from the US elections for the news that Amazon owned and US based Whole Foods is banning poppies for employees. Of all the actions they could do, this is what they go after?

I don't think this is a partisan issue but a Canadian issue and I am glad it is being seen as such with every party agreeing. Poppies is not a political statement, it's about remembering why we have the liberty and right to argue against each other even if we don't agree.
