The Airport Trail Tunnel (under the future runway) to Metis Trail will likely be where the CTrain crosses over and connects with the Airport. It only makes sense...

I know there was talk of dropping Barlow into a tunnel, but that was going to be costly. The Metis Trail interchange should be finished in early summer, and it appears to be a dual lane flyover from eastbound McKnight to Northbound Metis Trail so that will accomodate a lot of traffic.
The new C-Train station (Westwinds) and maintenance yards are under construction (tracks are 90% laid, they appear to be waiting for the flyover to finish so they can cross what is the current McKnight without fouling up traffic). The most recent plans are for the C-Train to go towards 80th then swing east to Saddleridge Circle, but I agree a swing into the Airport would make sense.

The airport did/does, but they have allowed a bunch of development and were actually talking about a golf course wedged in there. I''d guess the runways in your map are still accurate, the the Barlow re-alignment doesn't seem to fit with what has been built in the last 3 years (a lot!)
Throwing this derailment back on the tracks, this shows Airport trail east swinging down to join the ring road. I wonder why they would do that?
