Not historically. I think for a blowout you need to be in the high 300s.
Trump won 306 EVs in 2016. Obama won 332 in 2012 and that was a much narrower victory than his 2008 victory with 365 (winning Indiana, North Carolina and the 2nd District of Nebraska.
And there were HUGE blowouts in the electoral college in the “old days” including Reagan in 1984 and Nixon in 1972, who carried 49 of 50 states.
I don’t foresee those kinds of margins in the foreseeable future—I think too many voters are too committed to their party now....
