My biggest issue with Nickelback was that CJay overplayed them and Creed for months. It seemed that every other song was Creed of Nickelback and that's when I stopped listening to CJ.
Some Nickelback songs are really good, but when they got popular it seems like they decided to just stick with their formula. If you like that formula, you'll like their stuff. If you didn't like their formula, that's fine too but that doesn't make them "bad".
I would hope that now that Nickelback has some money that they would perhaps try a few different sounds, but if they are happy and they make a lot of fans happy then there is nothing inherently wrong with that either.
