Yea I tend to agree with the consensus in that:

a) don’t vote solely based upon where a guy was picked
b) I don’t know enough but just looking at all the readily available information, the Boltmann pick was extremely puzzling. He was looking like a guy that was going to be undrafted or go in a much later round.

Everything in his profiles discuss how he was playing in a league too good for his skill set so he must have been seemingly impressive. The quality of competition wasn’t there though, which is concerning, but these next couple years in college will give us a better idea of how to feel about it.

I know it probably wasn’t in the cards but it would have been nice to somehow use the Boltmann and Kuznetsov picks to move up and take another prospect with a great hockey name in Gunler.

Having said that I still think Kuznetsov wasn’t a bad pick per se.
