Yeah, I think people forget that Jonathan Drouin had 105 points in only 49 games during his draft year. That's 2.14 points per game (MacKinnon was 1.70 on the same team). Alexis Lafreniere had 2.15 in his draft year.
There was no way Drouin was falling.
