I generally don’t care much about US politics but the outcome of tonight’s election will have reverberations across the globe. It's not even going to be close to a blow out, like the Reagan-Carter, Reagan-Mondale, Johnson-Goldwater, Nixon-McGovern elections.
It really makes me wonder just how bad those other candidates could have been. I know Carter has a reputation of being an ineffective president, but he was not nearly as bad as Trump. In fact, Iran hostage crisis aside, he did a lot of good in his 4 years and in his life since.
Trump has a low probably of victory, but the fact there is still a possible path is not great. I definitely look at anything other than a complete evisceration of Trump as the glass being half empty. It tells me that unless Biden is a homerun, we will be right back where we are in 2024.
