When it's a player like Bennett who provides something few others on the team do (physicality), will be at worst a cheap but effective 3rd/4th line winger and who elevates his game to basically ppg levels in the playoffs, there is honestly no reason or good time to trade him.
What is the fascination with trading him, especially for something like a 2nd? He is literally our best playoff performer and people just want him gone because he isn't living up to being a 4th overall pick. so what? if he was actually a bust he'd be bouncing around the KHL like Yakupov. but he's not. He's an effective player who is a valuable asset in the most important time of the year. You don't trade those players.
