sabres 4 flames 1

a good win for the Sabres, comprehensively outplaying the Flames, although Vaananen scored with 15 seconds remaining to spoil Giguere's shutout. Rolston was the man of the match with 4 points and Jed Ortmeyer responded from a healthy scratch the night before with 2 points. The lines were a little quirky and both Ortmeyer and Endicott made surprise appearances on the PP and responded with goals. The Sabres PP , amongst the league's worst for the first half is now climbing the charts, although the PK remains league worst

Alex "chronic fatigue syndrome " Steen remains at 98% whether on the 3rd or 4th line or pressbox, so the Sabres will continue to run out 7 d as they face Boston a team who has beat them 3 times this year, tomorrow.
