Having only watched one episode of The Boys, S2E1, I find it kind of repulsive. The gratuitous blood and violence is one thing, but my impression is that it also has a pretty weird undercurrent of repressed masculinity twisted into some overall rejection of society. It feels like a show made to target a cross-section of Jordan Peterson fans, QAnon fans, and Bugaloo Boys .
