Unfair comparison but the situation reminds me so much of Al MacInnis joining the Flames. Big shot and no clue defensively.

I also recall that MacInnis used to often fall down when skating backwards, leading to breakaways. His big slapper was often very high too. I’m sure Eddie Beers still ducks in his sleep as he was often stationed in front of the opposition net. Big Al worked on his game and his skating and look at what he became.
