I wouldn’t say you’ve got much to worry about on that front.
It’ll take about a year for them to sort themselves out socially. In that time, expect a ten percent or greater drop in academic success, but like I said, just for one year and then things should stabilize as their environment becomes more predictable.
Kids are resilient, they’ll get over it.
