Question for the followers of European soccer;
As you may (or may not) have heard Ajax broke an almost 50 year Eredivisie (Dutch top league) record by beating VVV Venlo 0-13 (!!!) last saturday.
The score was picked up by media worldwide.
Personally, I enjoyed watching it but in the Dutch media there was a lot of criticism.
Not directed at Ajax, but they're worried what this means in regards to the Eredivisie as a league.
The media overhere often refers to the Eredivisie as a 'Mickey Mouse' league.
I think this is an incident and I think the Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and Serie A have a bigger problem where one team wins the league every year and with quite a lot of difference in points.
What are your thoughts when you see a score like this?
Is it bad for the image of the league? Is it good for Ajax' image?
