That and the puck actually goes in the net with him on the ice in the playoffs.
Over the last two seasons:
Playoff Sam Bennett:
CF%: 54.2%
HDCF%: 52.9%
xGF%: 60.49%
On ice Shooting %: 12.5%
Regular Season Sam Bennett:
CF%: 54.4%
HDCF%: 56.7%
xGF%: 57.7%
On ice Shooting %: 7.51%
From an advanced metrics perspective he's pretty much the same guy, and really drives play and generates chances.
Only difference is in the playoffs Sam Bennett gets first line finish while on the ice, and regular season Sam Bennett gets 4th line finishing percentages.
Give him more skilled linemates and I bet that on-ice shooting percentage will jump up.
