The gist of the article is that in December he had a handshake deal for a 5 year deal to stay in CSKA, then a $6 million deal with the Kings which was withdrawn. The author is surprised that all it took was a NHL minimum deal after a career year. |
It's like the writer has no concept of a salary cap or the fact that a lot of things have changed in the world since December.
