This is really good because if Kylington wants a position on this team, he needs to earn it. I personally believe in Kylington and his upside, but I think he needs to fight hard to earn a position because that will be best for his development.
Also, I just had this strategic thought. If Nesterov signs for $700K and is in competition with Kylington, it definitely encourages Kylington to sign for league minimum or close to it as well.
