I just noticed that only 8 team even have Captains assigned.
It's never been proven or written anywhere that assigning leadership roles do anything but it's an option in the line editor so I've always done it and believe/want to think the SIM rewards you for doing so.
To do it:
Open the STHS client (where you edit your lines),
At the bottom right of the STHS box. Click on your team then the new window opens. Then click on rosters. Then, you click on the player name, and can assign them as either C or one of 2 A positions.
I personally go with the highest average between leadership and experience ratings.
It was tough for us this time as we traded away Backstrom, who was our captain and then lost an A in Niskanen. So we went with a whole new leadership group this year:
C - Oshie
A - Yandle
A - Richardson
