This shows the side view. There’s a lot of room for suspension squish but less room than with the other tires.
Drove it to work and back (~110 km) and the masking tape I put on the inside of the wheel wells is unmarked, so I think this might actually work.
Obviously I am concerned about rust with winter driving but reports I’ve read say the paint+supposedly galvanized panels do a very good job of not rusting.
Next step is a transmission service because it shifts just awful.

I was meaning more like a view of how close the edge of the tire is to the lip of the fender (
example) but if the tape is unmarked after 110 KM then I'd say you're going to be just fine. Maybe take it through some areas you go where there are speed bumps and go over them as you normally would. Then check the tape (or just listen even) and that'll give you an idea of whether or not you'll need to adjust for those situations in the future.
