Sure, a bunch of spam emails that most people can see through is not going to move the needle much, but the fact that the FBI released information to the public stating that Russia and Iran is actively trying to influence the election is what will have the bigger influence. It's more about causing distrust in the results rather than influencing the votes. Honestly, I think Trump is the only candidate that would benefit from the interference, and even more so by the FBI making it public. It also seems likely that it serves Iran's interests to cause as much doubt as they can on a Biden win. Trump generously let Iran out of their nuclear development restrictions that Biden helped implement when he was in the Obama administration after all.

It’s weird that I had to think for a second if the FBI was acting in good faith.
That’s how low we’ve sunk. I had to actually wonder if the fbi director is in Trump’s pocket and whether his news conference is in the interest for public safety or to help Trump’s campaign.
Trump has managed to erode what little faith was left that truth is still a thing with any government official. It’s hard to keep track at this point what is partisan hackery and what isn’t. It’s crazy.
