The only time in his entire career Toews has less than 50 points was the lockout year, when he had 48 in 47 (and won his 2nd of three rings).
He’s turning 32, and there’s no way he’s a liability to anyone for three years @ $7.5M.
There just aren’t that many $10M players out there. That seems to be a bit of a magic number for hockey players.
