In Ottawa the roads are bad when there's snow on them. The temperature is pretty insignificant.
GTA != Ontario. But you're becoming a true Torontonian if you think Greater Toronto is all that exists in Ontario.

Also I dont even think they have snowplows out here. It started snowing yesterday at about 5pm....snowed HARD all night...I woke up to almost 2 feet of snow....and I got in my truck an hour or two ago(lunchtime) and NONE of the roads have been plowed...NONE not a single one. Not the 403 not the QEW not the 401....all three of these roads are much bigger and busier then deerfoot and there is literally piles on snow on the road.....

It was snowing when I woke up in Ottawa this morning. By noon my street was plowed as well as the sidewalk in front of my house.
