While I totally agree with the VAR issues and obviously think something should be done. It’s interesting that it took a robbery against Liverpool to hear anything in most of the media. This garbage has cost a lot of other teams valuable points and big games over the past couple of years. Through that time, the pundits and media have basically said nothing.
I’m not talking about this board, to be clear. But they’ve absolutely robbed teams of goals by drawing the line down past a players elbow or finding them offside by a millimeter when it’s not entirely clear that the ball was passed at that point. It’s laughable. Liverpool has definitely benefited from some of this, so my sympathies for them are limited at best (a certain handball 25 seconds into a CL final is far more egregious than this). But regardless of my loyalties, it’s frustrating that it takes Liverpool to get the short end in order for a lot of pundits to actually say anything.
