Building to exist so he has a job? Because the thing might explode? Are you serious? How about not risk being blown up by riding on a flaming time bomb? His life wasn’t worth the building and he wasn’t saving anyone else’s. Arguably potentially put more at risk, and I can’t for the life of me understand why that one guy is just casually skating around.
Save the building to save your job. Stupidest thing I’ve read today.

Typically, the zamboni exit is nowhere near the main entrance to the building - it’s about as safe a place as you could put a flaming vehicle in that situation.
Remember, the ceiling isn’t very high. There’s a lot of smoke, and a lot of fire. If it explodes, it could set the whole roof ablaze (maybe, I’m just saying, it’s not an unreasonable possibility).
There are also clearly people on the ice and milling about - you don’t know the force with which that vehicle could explode, and there’s no guarantee the boards and glass will prevent an entire front row of moms from being fragged.
I think it’s perfectly reasonable to abandon that thing and save yourself.
Getting that thing outdoors is unselfish and heroic.
