Tanev doesn't do this - he tends to get there first, and get the puck to safety, but often has to take a hit. Makes for better defense and possession - but you're right, he has been injured from playing that way.

Sounds like a real leader who doesn't take the easy way out. I'm not sure he can change his ways at this point, but I hope he can find a way to take less hits with the Flames to increase his odds of staying healthy. Giving him more offensive zone starts or something of that sorts I'd be ok with.
