No personal significance. He was 79 in Saginaw, he wanted to keep 7 but of course, 7 was Tim Horton, so he chose 78. No one in the Leaf's franchise has ever worn the number so he thought it was different.

Thought it was sweet that he wanted to keep 7 in there.
