Plenty of players have regressed under Kruger.
The Buttons were also very high on Mittlestad. Craig had him as the best prospect not in the NHL in his draft plus 1 year and this was the same year that Pettersen was ripping up the SHL.

I’d be ok with Mangiapane/Rittich for Reinhart but it seems a bit lateral. I mean it puts the wingers in the right places but just not sure that Reinhart is that big an upgrade on Mangiapane.

The thought had crossed my mind that what if this was a Gaudreau trade? What if it was Gaudreau and Rittich for Reinhart, Cozens/Mittlestad, Ullmark? I might do it if it was Cozens but probably not if it was Mittlestad. There would be some cap savings there too so the Flames could probably sign a guy like Granlund to add to the current roster.
