Tyler Ennis, who has averaged 1.85 pts per 60 at even strength the past two years (a better number than either Toffoli or Athanasiou, not to mention Josh Anderson)
I hate the points per 60 reference, without referring to actual time on ice.
Absurd example:
Boston Bruins pts/60:
Brendan Gaunce: 6.48
Pastrnak: 4.397
Marchand: 4.027
Zach Senyshyn: 3.6
Bergeron: 2.974
I guess Gaunce is better than all by that measure? Of course not, as he only averaged 9:10 per game.
Also, this season Toffoli had 2.11 p/60 with the Kings and 3.24 with the Canucks, both times averaging 16:35 and 18:11 TOI per game respectively, while Ennis had 1.76 with the Oilers and 2.142 with the Sens averaging 14:43 and 14:42 TOI, so it looks like he had to add another year with the prior team to fit his narrative in any event.
